At work, I doodle a lot. Sometimes I start drawing something and I decide, “Oh, I’ll draw this old familiar thing.” But, since I am very rusty at the arts, my brain and my hand don’t agree.
And thus, this drawing of Heather from Silent Hill 4 came out looking 5 years younger than the character, and way too happy. Considering that part of the game takes place in a mall, I have dubbed this not-quite-right version of the character, “Heater Sparkles.”

This is the internet, so I’m sure I’m not even the first person to connect Silent Hill 4 and How I Met Your Mother.

Saw a pretty jacket on someone’s Tumblr, tried to draw it. Didn’t entirely get anywhere with it.

Picked an hour at random to visually capture. Panera speaks horribly to my sweet tooth.
But, before the morning was up, I went to go see Chronicle. Boring breakfast aside, it was a good day.

So I finished reading Medicus and started on reading Terra Incognita (then my ereader went stupid on me and I’m angry at it).
Technology problems aside, the books center on a Roman doctor stationed in Britain, which is barely and very sourly being held onto by the empire. Hijinks ensue and he’s reluctantly the owner of a British slave, Tilla (because her real name sounds like a coughing fit). He generally is miserable and she’s generally smarter than him. He’s slightly less apathetic to murders happening to the locals than the other Romans stationed there, so he gets into trouble trying to solve them.
This is from the chapter I was reading (before ereader stupidity happened) where she is convinced that during the previous night, in the middle of a storm she saw the horned god, Cernunnos.

I haven’t drawn in forever. So I drew myself, in what I wore to work today.

Lady Loki.
Oh goodness, it has been far, far too long since I’ve drawn.
Using the free Autodesk Sketchbook Copic edition. It’s…um… challenging.

Funny that I have such a hard time drawing characters I used to draw weekly for over three years.  Except Tully there up at the top.  He didn’t come into play until the very end.  In fact, he’s on the last page I’ve udpated to my webcomic, over a year ago.

I miss doing my webcomic.  There’s still so much story to tell.  If anything, TOO much story to tell.  I hope that this Rusty Muse project will help me get back into making comics.  If not Shadow of a Doubt, something.  I love comics too much.
